The hot springs
- Terme dei Papi
- An outdoor pool of 2,000 square metres, fed by the Bullicame spring, which rises at 58 °C. It is open from 9 am to 7 pm except on Tuesdays, and on Saturdays also at night, from 9 pm to 1 am. A 3-hour ticket costs €12 on weekdays and €18 on Saturdays and holidays; at night €20. 35 minutes from the house.
- Tuscia Terme
- A park with five pools of sulphur water, open all year from 9 am to 7 pm, closed on Wednesdays. From November to March a ticket costs €12 on weekdays and €18 on Saturdays and holidays. No children under 12. 33 minutes from the house.
- The free pools
- Near the Terme dei Papi there are hot pools with free entry, such as the Piscine Carletti and the Bullicame. They are outdoors, with no changing rooms or facilities: we will tell you how to get there.
What to bring: swimsuit, flip-flops and a bathrobe or towel.

The weekend, day by day
Friday
Arrive and settle into your heated suite. For dinner, walk to the old town, 500 metres away, or cook in your suite. On request there is an aperitivo supper with local produce, to book the day before.
Saturday
Breakfast in your suite. In the morning, Viterbo: the medieval San Pellegrino quarter and the Papal Palace; in the afternoon, the hot springs. On Saturdays the Terme dei Papi stay open until 1 am.
Sunday
A slow breakfast, a walk at Lake Vico, 10 minutes away, and then home. Northern Rome is 40 minutes away.
